Featured Volunteer – SHEILA BIDDISCOMBE

Paper Kite Children’s Foundation is proud to introduce Sheila Biddiscombe.  Sheila joined Paper Kite as a volunteer in the Winter of 2009-2010. Sheila helped organize and facilitate Paper Kite’s involvement in events such as Deepak Chopra’s talking event in Vancouver. Paper Kite in the newspaper

If you were planning a trip to India, you might make a list of things to see: the Taj Mahal in Agra, the pink city of Jaipur, the bathing ghats on the River Ganges in Varanasi.

Fundraising in London, Ontario has started

The Paper Kite Children’s Foundation officially launched fund-raising efforts in London Ontario. The Vancouver based Charity has been positioned for expansion into Ontario with a series of fund-raising and awareness events planned for London and surrounding areas this summer. Danielle Washington, Owner of Studio 998 spearheaded the initiative. Washington is a London based Hairstylist who along with her staff donated supplies and stylist labour to make-over local hair models for the 2010 Model Call held this week at Club Exhale. The event market a success for the foundation’s first event raising nearly five hundred dollars for the Charity. Future events will include a Talent Show, a Children’s Kite Building Workshop and several social functions with all proceeds going directly to Children of Bihar.
