Want to know more about the importance of meditation and maintaining your health? Join us as we host a healing day presentation to learn how to better take care of yourself. As always, proceeds will go directly to Paper Kite Children’s Foundation.

Focus on Body and Mind to Improve Your Quality of Life.  Maintain your health and manage illness by learning about the digestive system. Learn mindful meditation practices for a stable and calm mind.

Guest Speaker 1 : Christina Rosso
     74A2738Christina Rosso is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist from Toronto who specializes in natural enhancement of digestion and athletic performance. Growing up, Christina’s family instilled an importance for whole and natural foods which has inspired her cur
rent journey as a Holistic Nutritional Consultant. This way of life has become her passion, which is represented by her eagerness to educate and promote natural living. Known for her hands-on approach, Christina truly cares about the health and well-being of her clients and believes that, with the proper guidance, we can all achieve optimal health.
     Please join us as Christina presents “Proper Digestion for Optimal Health: Breaking the Stigma.” She will take us through the inner workings of the digestive system, explain the importance of proper elimination, unveil the do’s and don’ts of correct eating habits, debunk conventional myths and discuss holistic methods that enhance digestive function.

Guest Speaker 2 : Frederyck Franco

Frederyck Franco Picture v4Frederyck Franco is a Registered Kinesiologist – Certified Exercise Physiologist at the Black Creek Community Health Centre. He
is a part of the COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) program where he provides exercise therapy and health coaching (health behavior change) to adults who are living or are at risk of COPD. Frederyck is also a Mindfulness Meditation Leader for the Behavior Change Lab @ York University where he leads weekly mindfulness meditation groups.

Presentation Title – Mindfulness Meditation and Compassion Description: Frederyck will introduce mindfulness meditation and go into detail on how it relates to compassion (how it helps foster compassion). This topic resonates especially well with a charity such as Paper Kite!
